I am so excited to be joining the Abbot family as the new orchestra teacher. My family is elated to be joining the Ann Arbor community. I grew up, went to school, and taught for 8 years in Virginia. I earned my bachelors degree in Music Education from James Madison University. I’ve lived in Michigan for 6 years along with my wife and 2 kids (4 & 7). My wife is a graduate of Pioneer HS and my in-laws still live close to The Big house.  Most recently, I have taught at a charter school in Detroit for 5 years. Here at Abbot ES, I aim to teach students to be fine and proper musicians while also highlighting the scientific and mathematical aspects in music. I look forward to the opportunity to teach and make music with our students.
