Hello Abbot Elementary Community! I am so thrilled to support our school as the Building Literacy Expert. In my role as the BLE I spend half of my time working with teachers as a literacy coach and half of my time working with students as a reading interventionist. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of such an amazing school community. Before moving to Ann Arbor, I worked for 10 years with the KIPP charter school network in Washington DC, and NYC. At KIPP I served as a pre-K literacy teacher, kindergarten literacy teacher, and Literacy Instructional Coach supporting K-4 readers and teachers. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family (Winnie, James, Cleo and Alan), reading, hiking, baking, and singing.
